Torrey Rush, a native of Kingstree, South Carolina, was born on February 6, 1978. He received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Sport Management from Liberty University. After a successful college football career, he spent a season in NFL Europe with the Barcelona Dragons. Over the years Torrey has become a business and community leader. He has been elected and appointed to various boards and commissions at the Local, State and National level. His commitment to helping people is the driving force to his body of work.
Torrey enjoys the real estate profession as he specializes in commercial real estate and land development. With over 9 years of industry experience he has assisted clients with millions of dollars of real estate transactions. He is associated with several industry organizations including NAIOP Commercial Real Estate, International Council of Shopping Centers as a national round table presenter and the National Town Builders Association where he was a guest presenter.
Mr. Rush is also the COO of ED-Rush Development Firm, LLC. The firm assist client in their efforts to create, build and maintain quality real estate projects. With 9 years of professional experience, he provides strategic and project leadership for the firm. He is also responsible for overall project management, development services, establishing practical client-centered solutions for real estate projects, and assuring quality and efficiency with project delivery.
Prior to the formation of ED-RUSH, Mr. Rush was the top producer with The Avail Group, LLC a real estate investment firm who works directly with real estate investors and developers. Mr. Rush has extensive experience in residential and commercial real estate from the perspective of end-user marketing, investor relations, project facilitation and development. In addition to developing commercial and residential projects, he has vast experience in: municipality relations, land acquisition, planning, permitting, engineering and architectural consultation and facilitation, project management, construction management project financing and end project marketing
Mr. Rush is the Founder of Carolina Community Development Corporation, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that specializes in promoting and maintaining affordable housing, business ownership, and the economic vitality of Richland County and other counties throughout South Carolina.
He is currently an elected official for Richland County Council District 7. He was formerly the Vice-Chair of Board of Zoning Appeals for Richland County, a South Carolina 2nd Congressional District Minority Affairs Commission Member and served on Attorney Alan Wilson Inaugural Gala Transition Team. He is married to Darci Strickland Rush and they have 3 girls Logan, Layla and Lauren.
